Care & Cleaning Guide

We've provided a simple list of tips and care instructions to help you keep your favourite water bottles and tumblers clean and effective for as long as possible...

Cleaning and care for stainless steel items:

We would only recommend hand washing your tumbler. Our vacuum-insulated stainless steel tumblers should not be used in the microwave, oven, or dishwasher, as this can affect their insulation properties.

Our stainless steel products are generally dishwasher safe but should not be used in the microwave.

Do not use abrasive cleaners or steel wool.

I dropped my bottle/tumbler and dented it. Is it okay to keep using it?

If there is no leakage or damage to the vacuum insulation, you can continue using it.

How will I know if the vacuum insulation is damaged?

Pour boiling water into the tumbler. If the outer surface of the tumbler becomes hot, the insulation is damaged.

*We stock various protective covers to help your bottle or tumbler remain undamaged should accidents occur. You can view the full range here: [INSERT PROTECTIVE COVERS LINK]

If there is an odour before using the tumbler or after general cleaning:

1.     Pour boiling water with white vinegar, citric acid or baking soda into the tumbler and allow time to cool. IMPORTANT: Do not secure the lid to avoid pressure build up. *A guideline is 1 teaspoon per 200 ml of hot water.

2.     Rinse thoroughly and check if the odour has subsided.

Note: Do not soak the entire tumbler in the solution, as vinegar, citric acid or baking soda may cause discoloration of the exterior.

To remove tea, coffee and other stains inside the tumbler:

1.     Fill the tumbler with hot water and add a heaped teaspoon of baking soda.

2.     Allow the water to cool.

3.     Pour away the solution and rinse thoroughly.

4.     Then wash normally with dish soap/liquid and rinse again.

My tumbler has rust on the inside:

1.     Pour boiling water with white vinegar or citric acid into the tumbler and allow time to cool.

2.     Rinse thoroughly and wash the tumbler with standard dish soap/liquid.

To prevent rust, be sure to wash and dry your items thoroughly after each use, and store them away from other metals.
